Course: 8:00 a.m. (Late arrivals greater than 10 minutes will not be allowed to take the course.)
Evaluations: 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Hands-on evaluations are required for certification and will be conducted immediately following the course.

Scissor lifts provide a safe and reliable platform for workers to perform job tasks when used according to the manufacturer’s instructions. When not used properly, scissor lifts can present a serious hazard to workers.

 

According to OSHA, the major causes of injuries and fatalities involving aerial lifts are: collapses or tip-overs, falls and electrocution. Employees shall be instructed by a qualified person in the safe use of the work platform in accordance with the manufacturer’s operating instructions, and Section 3203, Injury and Illness Prevention Program.
